The New Year

Wow, what a year this has been.  With two knee surgeries in 2012, it is safe to say that right now I have never felt better.  My knee’s feel good, my mind is in the right place and I am ready to take on the new year.  I am so thankful for all of my family and friends support through everything I have gone through.  Hopefully I will not need any more surgeries and this will allow me to excel in this new year with nothing holding me back.  Everyday there is a new challenge and there is always another day to make your life great, no matter what obstacles you have to overcome.  I have a positive outlook for 2013 and I hope that it brings great memories and experiences. Happy new year’s everyone!

Rise & Attack

4 miles…check!

Just as the title of this post says, I ran four miles today! Welcome back b’s knee’s! 🙂

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays from B’s Knee’s!

End of the world? No thank you!

I am happy that the world didn’t end on the 21st because I still get to work hard to get my legs back!  Also because I still have so much to do!!  Just gotta keep on keepin’ on!

Time is flyin’

Happy 5 months to my right knee!  It feels like yesterday that I was laying in bed with the big ol’ black brace on not being able to walk!  Time really does fly!  Now I am running and getting muscle back!  Soon enough I will (hopefully) be back on the lacrosse field! 🙂

You must push yourself to get past the wall that has been blocking you.  You will not regret it.

As I have started running, I was running a slow 10 minute mile, just to get my legs back into it.  As a couple weeks have gone by, I have decreased the time of my mile!  Today I ran my mile in 7:58!  Everyday I keep decreasing my time and getting back into it, without overworking it!  I am listening to my body and making sure I am not pushing myself too hard that it hurts.  It is exciting to see my endurance getting back to where I left off in April.  Great day to be a jay! 🙂

Don’t feel ignored!

I know I have been blogging a lot about my right knee since it is the most recent surgery, but I have to show my left knee some love!  I know I am two days late, but happy 8 months to my left knee ACL! Woot Woot!!!

Having a happy spirit can get you anywhere

With all the ‘bad’ luck I have had with my knee’s, I have had a positive attitude even when I have encountered the hardest obstacles.  Going through life with an unhappy spirit will just make things worst, always smile 🙂
