New favorite

My new favorite machine that neither gym that I go to at school or at home have is the stair stepper machine. I feel it oh so good in my legs and my butt!!!  B’s knee’s coming at ya hott!! 🙂

Knee’s in a new city

B’s Knee’s is all settled in New York City for the summer!  This is my first summer in college where I do not have to worry about surgery, physical therapy, pain, crutches, the black brace, scars, and most importantly missing out on a  social life!  I am starting a very exciting new chapter in my life and I am happy to have healthy knee’s (well, healthiest they have been a loooong time).  Not to mention, it is an added bonus to conversations.  I mean, who in their right mind tears 3 ACL’s??  I hope the knee’s are ready for wedges and high heels because I can finally wear them!  I am going to use the NYU gym, which is amazing, to keep working on gaining muscle back into my legs.  There ain’t no stopping B’s Knee’s baby!!

Hello hamstring!

It may not be anything special, but this time last year I was getting ready for surgery.  Look how far I’ve come!

I promised myself that this summer I will dedicate a lot of time to my legs. I want to make them stronger and I want to get quicker and faster, but OUCH I am so sore!! Not to mention my hamstring is acting up again, I can never catch a break!

Cheers to my first summer since freshman year without an ACL surgery!! I have lots to celebrate for! 🙂 🙂

Let things flow

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

End of a chapter

Today marks the end of our season.  It has been a bumpy road but in the end we played for each other as sisters and teammates.  We really proved that no matter what circumstances were thrown at us, we were able to over come it.  Beating our rivals in the semi-finals and becoming MAC champs for the second time in a row, just shows our passion and our heart for each other.  Back in January I thought that I wasn’t going to be able to play this season or ever again and through all of the hardships and emotions, I was able to end the season healthy. I am so proud of myself and so thankful for the support my teammates had for me.  I honestly do not think I could have done it without them. I am never going to forget the moment I scored my first goal back in Myrtle beach, I still get teary eyed when I think about it.  I am truly blessed that I was able to meet my teammates and create such a special bond with them.  Everyone has impacted me in a certain way and I don’t think I would be who I am today without them.  I love my blue jays through thick and thin and I am so glad I have these 27 sisters no matter what. It’s a great day to be a jay 🙂 XOXO

2012-2013 Blue Jays

Where do I start?

WOW! What a freakin’ weekend!  Let me catch you up on all the craziness that has been happening.  After we sent Messiah home crying their eyes out, we made our journey to Stevenson University, which is pretty much located in my backyard.  We got there, played blue jay lacrosse, and beat another nationally ranked team, 14-12.  That made us BACK-2-BACK MAC champions!!!  Now with that sweet victory under our belt, last night we witnessed something that is just simply unreal.  We found out that we are playing Franklin and Marshall in the first round of the NCAA tournament.  Let me inform you that our old coach, Mike Faith, moved there this past summer to become head coach.  Now you see why this game will get interesting.  If you want to see passion, drive, blood and sweat, I would come to this game.  This game is personal.  We play them at Franklin and Marshall at 7:00 on Wednesday, May 8th.  Any team is beatable and this is the one team we want to MURDER!

Muck Fessiah!!

And the jays are rolling through to the MAC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME this Saturday at 1:00 in my hometown at Stevenson University. I am so proud of my teammates and so happy we MUCKED FESSIAH! We want this championship more then ever to become back-to-back champs! Messiah had no chance and neither does Stevenson! As always, it is a GREAT DAY TO BE A JAY!!!

Tomorrow’s blood bath

Tomorrow we play Messiah in the semi-finals. Our rivals. At their turf aka carpet. We hate them. They hate us. Back-to-back. Head. Heart. Hustle. Time to recognize. Great day to be a jay!
