This past Saturday I ran in the Sole of the City 10K race in Baltimore! It was a beautiful 70 degrees and the course was just perfect! What a great way to spend a Saturday morning!
This past weekend I got an amazing opportunity to play for the Israel National Lacrosse team in Kings Point, NY in a showcase. It was so fun to help spread awareness for Israel lacrosse and the game, meeting new friends and just enjoying the sport! It’s unbelievable to think where lacrosse has taken me, even after 3 ACL surgeries. We lost in double overtime, it was such an exciting game and weekend and I was very happy to be part of such an awesome program. I am so thankful that I’m able to continue playing at a competitive level!
The lacrosse season has begun! Yesterday was my first game of the season with some of my fellow blue jays. The weather was perfect, the energy was electric and it was SO much fun! As I’m sitting here writing this, my hips are burning, my arms are struggling and my knee’s are sore. But as always, it’s a great day to be a jay!
Before I started physical therapy, my doctor told me he wanted me to take it slow. He wanted me to bend my knee to 120 degrees throughout a 6 week period. I knew that that was a very easy goal to accomplish. Yesterday, my fourth day of physical therapy, I was able to achieve my goal. I was able to bend my knee to 120 degrees! Go me!
Yesterday has been the best day I have had in 3 weeks. I went to the mall, only for a little bit, and shopped (not until I dropped). I also drove for the first time since surgery! I also made homemade sushi with my girlfriends for dinner and hung out and finally not at my house! It felt amazing to get outside and actually do things. I was able to enjoy shopping, which is my favorite thing to do, with my mom and actually socialize! I did as much as I could tolerate without hurting my knee, then again I know my limits because this is my third go-around. Hopefully I can make it to the pool and work on my non-existent tan! I am excited and happy that I can actually enjoy the end of my summer 🙂
Here is the sushi we made!
